In December 2016 TELSTRA disconnected the 2G frequency band. Whilst mobile phones had already well moved forward to 3G, M2M (machine to machine) devices still predominantly worked on this 2G-2.5G network frequency. UCANC Pty Ltd had a difficult time explaining to existing customers why perfectly functioning hardware had to be replaced, requiring un-install and re-install of new hardware, even changing the familiar look and features of their existing desktop software. It was not an easy task or an easy time.

The majority of our clients were amazing and understanding that we were all caught out in this precarious situation and they appreciated the fact that we subsidized the price of new hardware to the point that we made no profit. This in the endeavour to come half way in the transition from one frequency to another. By mid 2017 we had 90% of all customers back on board with brand new 3G  M2M devices, new desktop software and a fast and nifty GPS Tracking APP for mobile phones – covering both iPhones with their iOS operating system and Android phones with an Android OP system.

We maintain our recurring charges for data sim and webservers at the same price level since 2010 and updates to desktop software is free of charge. We appreciate your business and look forward to many more years of business together!
